About
Jen PeckaWho's

When I'm not behind the camera I'm spending time with my adorable family, hiking, riding my horse, fly fishing and doing yoga. I'll use any excuse to head north to the Adirondacks. (Eagle Bay donuts is my favorite incentive for a day trip.) I just finished my certification to be a yoga instructor! I'm obsessed with how my hair smells after a day in the woods. If you can relate, we'll probably be best friends. I live with my amazing husband, Alex, and we have two kids who are way cooler than we are. We also have FIVE cats, two dogs and one horse. I'm not ashamed. I would have more if I could but Alex keeps me in check. I'm a licensed wildlife rehabber and will save all the animals. It's not unusual for me to have an interesting creature friend hanging out until I can get them where they need to go or release them back to where they belong. I'm always down for a coffee date if you want to chat wedding details or hiking trails. I always want your dog to come to your engagement session. If you have more than one dog, EVEN BETTER. We celebrate pride in my house every day. I'm excited to meet you!

I’m not one for traditional portraits. My biggest pet peeve is fake smiles and uncomfortable poses. I like to pull out my client’s personalities when I’m shooting. I want you to look back at your portraits 10 years from now and relive every moment, not cringe because someone put you in prom pose. (I promise, I won’t do this to you!) I aim to capture genuine laughter and smiles, natural body language and pictures that reflect YOUR personality.

I aim to get as much face time with my clients as possible so you’re more comfortable with me on your wedding day. I offer a complimentary engagement session with all my wedding collections for just this reason. Building a rapport and making sure you trust me to capture your day is top priority. Currently, I am based out of Binghamton but most of my weddings take place elsewhere. You can often find me shooting in the Adirondacks, Albany, Ithaca, the Fingerlakes area, Rochester, Syracuse, NYC, Cooperstown, Oneonta and Buffalo. I also travel frequently to surrounding states and love to travel!

"When people look at my pictures, I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice."
