This fall engagement session was also a fall family portrait session. Their girls were so cute and SO full of energy. I had a blast hanging out with them. We started off on private land over the border into PA and then ended our photoshoot back in Deposit, NY. These are some of my most favorite pictures from this gorgeous fall morning. This chick is a wild woman. I told Nicole and Lonny that they’re going to have their hands full. (I’m speaking from experience because I’m also a girl mom to a wild child.) I love those adventurous souls though. Our first stop was private property over the border into PA. Lonny’s family has a lot of gorgeous acreage and it was awesome to be able to walk some of it with them. Someone’s a daddy’s girl.My absolute favorite pictures to take are the candid ones. Especially with kids! They’re always goofing off so they make my job so easy. Nicole and Lonny’s girls were full of energy and they weren’t shy at all.You can’t have pretty new dresses and NOT spin in them!Sister love is so special. Every time it was Nicole and Lonny’s turn to take some pictures without the girls, the girls would tell them to kiss. It was so funny! They even wanted to see the picture after it was taken. Normally kids are like EW GROSS BYE! Our second stop was to their family cabin on a private lake. The trees bordering the lake were gorgeous! You also can’t beat that autumn smell mixed with the water. It makes me miss the Adirondacks like crazy.Such a cute little family. The sun was SO bright on this day so we had to take a lot of pictures where they weren’t looking directly at me. It worked out very well. You can’t have a fall family photoshoot without throwing some leaves. I took sooooo many photos. This engagement ring is so pretty. Our third stop was back at the farm. We went across the street for some pictures with the hay bales and the corn. Lonny and Nicole live on and manage the farm. They also plan to have their wedding right at the farm this coming January which I am SO pumped about. I’m country at heart and love rustic weddings so very much!Again, candids are my favorite. These are some of my favorites of Nicole and Lonny. These two are so sweet together. We had to snap one of Lonny with his corn. I really loved listening to Lonny and Nicole talk about their farming. I have so much respect for farmers. There’s so much talent and love that has to go into nurturing a farm. Farmers are truly special humans.I had so much fun spending the morning with this little family. I am SO VERY EXCITED for their wedding coming up this January. It’ll be a chilly one but winter weddings are gorgeous. You just can’t beat that winter light. Nicole and Lonny’s wedding will be taking place at their farm right in Deposit, NY. It’s going to be magical so stay tuned!
