A beautiful love story can have the most humble of beginnings. Zhaleh and Bill met in an elevator while in graduate school. They sparked up a conversation that took them from the elevator and into the rain where they ran to their next class together. Five years later, Bill and Zhaleh went to their first vacation spot on Catalina island and Bill proposed in a gorgeous, secluded spot overlooking the ocean.
These are some of my most favorite shots from their wedding day!
I absolutely need to highlight the fact that Zhaleh’s wedding dress was handmade by her incredible and beautiful mother, Nasrin. I was blown away by how stunning this dress was. It was clear that Nasrin put so much love into this.

Zhaleh and Bill’s wedding ceremony took place at Sage Chapel in Ithaca, NY. 
My favorite part of their ENTIRE wedding day was during the ceremony when Bill looked at Zhaleh and whispered “I love you.”
I love this picture of the flower girl. It was a VERY hot day and this about sums up how she feels about it. I love how honest kids are. My goal is to always tell the story of my clients wedding day with my pictures and using a photojournalism approach to my storytelling. This is such a good representation of that!
When I asked Bill what his favorite part of the wedding day was he responded “Holding Zhaleh’s hand and looking into her eyes at the altar during the ceremony”.
I asked Zhaleh the same question and she said walking down the aisle as husband and wife was her favorite part of the wedding day.

One of my most favorite things about these two is their chemistry. Zhaleh and Bill were always making each other laugh in their photos. They made my job SO easy. I loved watching them together and being able to witness how in love they are with one another. These two are a prime example of why I love being a photographer as much as I do. I get to capture the most beautiful moments and genuine moments filled with love and joy.
Pictures with your girls are important!
Zhaleh and Bill’s wedding reception was at Wagner Vineyards in Lodi, NY. I loved taking their wedding portraits here! Having that view of the lake in the background was perfection.

Zhaleh and Bill wanted sparkler pictures and I was happy to oblige! Sparklers are so much fun and make for great wedding photos.
