Abby + Tristan are on the blog today!
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had a chance to blog. I know every month I’m like “THIS IS MY BUSIEST MONTH YET.” And I’m never lying. But December is my busiest month yet.
All of my fall shoots are due in December, everyone wants Christmas minis and photoshoots, couples are booking their weddings for next year or the year after and that’s just work life. Christmas in my house is a big deal and I’m always trying to out-compete myself from the previous year. (Side note: I just started a mini Christmas village and I am SO excited about it!)
I’m always trying to get photoshoots and weddings out the door before their contracted due date because I want everyone to be able to have their photos by Christmas. I don’t always meet that goal. I’m only one person after all and there’s only so much editing you can do in a day before you can’t see straight. BUT, I try.
Anyway, onward to Abby + Tristan’s beautiful fall wedding!
Abby + Tristan chose to have their wedding right in their backyard. I think this is always a spectacular idea if it’s do-able and you have the space.
This dress was purchased at Dress Your Fancy in Vestal, NY and the flowers were done by Country Florist in Owego, NY.The ceremony was short and sweet. Abby + Tristan wrote their own vows and I teared up listening to their vow exchange.First kiss as husband and wife! And now my most favorite part of the wedding day…I’m obsessed with this lighting. We wandered the property and took photos in different spots but I just kept coming back to the woods with the backlit sunny leaves. SO pretty.Sometimes I get stuck between a color photo and black and white and sometimes you just have to choose them both. The reception was DJ’d by one of my most favorite DJ’s, Johnny Only and his daughter Mikayla. I absolutely adore these two. Not only do they do a fantastic job but when we all get a chance to sit down and eat, they’re the BEST company.Fun side note! Abby painted these little figurines. I live for this moment when a bride and groom decide to shove cake in each other’s faces.Yesssss! The rest of the reception was so much fun. Brittni and I took tons of dance photos and ate a delicious dinner catered by Smokey Legends BBQ. (I HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding!)We of course couldn’t have captured these pictures for Abby and Tristan without the help of the other vendors who made their day so picture perfect.
I highly recommend ALL of them listed below.
