Brittni and Greg. Where do I begin? This blog post is extra special to me because Brittni is special to me. Brittni is my second photographer and is by my side for most of my weddings. When she asked me to shoot her wedding, I was thrilled! Creating for my clients is always a special process but doing it for a friend makes it that much more special.
Brittni and Greg got ready at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Syracuse, NY. I’ve driven by this hotel so many times and was so excited to finally venture in and take a look around.
I started with the detail shots as I always do.
There’s my girl! Photobombing her own dress shots.Brittni’s sister did her makeup. Before I was officially introduced, I knew that they were sisters because they interact the same way that my sister and I interact. It was so funny watching them interact and playfully push each other’s buttons.
You don’t need a hairdresser when you have a group of best friends like this.
This is the “My almost husband just sent me down a gift with a letter and I’m about to ruin my makeup” face.
And this is where I start crying. Instead of going to a hair dresser, Brittni pinterested wedding hair ideas and then perfectly did them herself. If only we were all so crafty! She’s a woman of many talents.Brittni had a first look with her parents and I’m so glad she did. I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. While Brittni was in one room getting ready, Greg was in another. Our dearest Mary can be credited for these portraits!
Brittni and Greg exchanged additional rings called EMBR rings. They each had them engraved with a special message.
Brittni + Greg had their ceremony at Wysockis Manor in Cicero, NY. This venue was so beautiful!
Aww, Greg!
Once again, crying! And I mean me, not Brittni. lol
I love this bouquet shot! Brittni bought her flowers from Wegmans and then had family help her make a bouquet. It’s GOREGOUS!
The first kiss!Officially husband and wife!
Get ready for SO MANY wedding photos. There are just so many good ones and I can’t help myself. (This is the scaled down version too!)
Some of these photos were done at a nearby park, Joseph F. William Memorial Park in Cicero, NY. The breeze off the lake was wonderful and it was a gorgeous spot for wedding portraits.
You’re either a “jump photo” person or you’re not. I am 100%! Getting everyone off the ground when you have a huge bridal party gets a little tricky though. We tried SO hard! lol
This is why I love Brittni. She has the best sense of humor and cracks me up all the time. I was so pumped when I found this old metal chair! What a great prop for wedding bouquet photos! One thing that not a lot of people know is I was put in charge of this ritual piece since everything had to be cleared out post ceremony and it was too risky to put in the limo. You had better believe I strapped this thing into my car as if it were my own child.
Wedding day bloopers are the best.
The reception was at the Crowne Plaza. This place is AMAZING. Not only is it an amazing venue to have a reception, I have to give a huge shout out and kudos to the staff. They were all SO welcoming and accommodating. If you’re getting married in the Syracuse area and looking for an awesome place to have your reception, go to the Crowne Plaza!!
This is a really cute idea for honeymoon funds!
You just can’t top this view. When we saw the sky turning orange, we quickly grabbed Brittni and Greg and the amazing staff at Crowne Plaza got us right up to the roof for some of the most epic sunset shots I have ever taken.
Brittni and Greg had a perfect wedding and it couldn’t have been so perfect without these amazing vendors!
