Let me introduce you to one of my most favorite wedding venues in the Catskills! Maple Shade Farm is tucked into the hills of Delhi, NY and boasts a gorgeous rustic layout, a historic yellow barn, a beautiful pond where most ceremonies take place and a sunset you can’t beat.

Not only is it a gorgeous wedding venue in the Catskills but it’s run by two of my most favorite wedding people, Jay and Abby. Jay and Abby do an excellent job at all things wedding. They’re also super fun and I love working with them. You hear so many horror stories of these gorgeous venues with dud owners but you won’t find that here. Every time I get to work with these two, I have a blast. They not only take care of their clients but they take care of the wedding vendors too.

The last time I was at Maple Shade Farm it was POURING. The weather did not want to cooperate. The results photographically speaking were stunning but I was still happy that Ashley and Genaro had a super sunny wedding day. I do love that light and airy look when the sun is high.

Many times when a couple is getting married at Maple Shade Farm, they’ll get ready at an airbnb nearby or a hotel. Ashley and Genaro split their day up so photos started at Maple Shade and I was able to do all of their detail shots and getting ready photos at the farm. This made my life so much easier because Abby at Maple Shade does bouquets and she was able to provide me with GORGEOUS flat lay flowers. I had so much fun incorporating all the wedding details alongside her florals.

Ashley and Genaro included their dog in the wedding ceremony and I couldn’t get enough. This little darling LET ME PUT A WIG ON HIM. Auggie might have been the most photographic dog I’ve ever met.

The ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather was warm and sunny, the guests were dressed to the nines and there were lots of teary eyes in the crowd. I loved seeing Genaro’s reaction to his bride.

After the first kiss and an epic send off from the ceremony, we gathered behind the barn which is my most favorite place to start photos. This gives the crowd a chance to meander over to cocktail hour near the front of the barn and the wedding party a moment to decompress with cocktail hour drinks and hors d’oeuvres. They also sign the wedding license and do family photos here. It has the absolute best light on a sunny day.

For family photos, we of course had to start with Auggie since he’s Ashley and Genaro’s honorary fur child. Look at how happy his little face is at being smooched! So, so precious.

These were some of my most favorite photos of Ashley and Genaro around Maple Shade Farm. This place is so stunningly gorgeous and picturesque. It is the perfect place for a Catskills wedding.

Ashley’s MOH, Sarah, accompanied us around the farm in order to help with Ashley’s dress. For the record, I laugh frequently but having one of those laughs that makes you cry and not be able to breathe isn’t super common for me. Sarah is a city girl and was having some issues with nature. At one point she stood behind me and I heard her say “I’m fightin’ for my life over here!” and I LOST it. It was SO funny. I loved spending time with her just as much as I did with the bride and groom.

Maple Shade Farm is unique in that their reception space is split up between an upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs is where dinner takes place along with the intros and speeches. The downstairs features a full bar, a space designated for favors and desserts plus the cake, multiple lounge areas, a game room and a dance floor.

This wedding reception was rich with Mexican culture and I LOVED getting to try the Mexican desserts and witnessing the dances and customs. But seriously, the DANCING! SO MUCH FUN!
