Laura and Pat had a beautiful, rustic wedding in upstate NY. The details from this wedding are incredible and it’s obvious that so much thought and heart were put into making this day perfection.
The day began with Laura getting ready at Lotus Salon & Spa and Patricia’s guest house in Hamilton, NY. (We’ve since discovered that this sweet little BNB has closed which is a real shame because they were so welcoming and the space was gorgeous.)The beautiful bride! Laura is not only a stunning bride but she’s the kind of person that brings sunshine into the room. I loved working with her and capturing her energy. You might recognize this beautiful woman! One of Laura’s good friends, Zainab is also a client of mine. (And, side note, one of the best bakers walking the planet! She did Laura’s cake and cupcakes. We’ll get to that a little later.)Laura gave her mom a really thoughtful gift and capturing this moment was so special. We snagged a few pictures of Laura before we headed off for the first look. I am absolutely obsessed with these pictures! I seriously loved photographing her so much. Laura was the kind of bride who made my job super easy. Look how photogenic she is!
While Laura and the girls were getting ready in Hamilton, the guys were already at Barnes Barn in North Brookefield getting ready.
Laura did a first look with both Pat and her Dad. Get ready for your tissues because what’s to follow is precious beyond words. Both first looks gave me all the feels!
The best part of this first look with Dad was the fact that he had picked a flower for Laura. I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Now before I share with you some of the most beautiful pictures I have EVER taken in my career, I have to tell you about Barnes Barn! This place is AMAZING! The landscaping is gorgeous. The barn is gorgeous. The views are gorgeous. Everywhere you looked there was something to marvel at. And the most interesting part of this whole venue? It’s still a working farm! The reception area is in the top part of the barn while the cow friends live below. This really shocked me because you’d think the place would stink to high heaven and be full of flies, right? It didn’t and it wasn’t. The staff at Barnes Barn are super friendly too! They have done a magnificent job with this place. We would absolutely recommend it to our future clients and hope to return soon!
Now check out these views and the beautiful couple who make the shot!
It’s said that lady bugs bring good luck. If that’s the case than Laura and Pat’s marriage is full of blessings! These cute little buggers were all over the place.
If you’re wondering why Laura is laughing so much, this is why. It’s hard not to be amused when this guy is around! I love capturing genuine laughter so my many thanks to you good sir!
When there are brightly colored leaves on the ground, you must throw them. Rules are rules.
I love the colors that Laura picked out for her wedding. This royal, emerald green looks gorgeous on all of these women and perfectly contrasts the fall foliage.
These flowers were designed by Coriale Flowers. They did a magnificent job! I happened to be there when they were delivered and the creator was just as sweet as her flowers!
If I’m shooting your wedding, dance breaks are welcome and highly encouraged!
The guys decided against the dance break.
The ceremony took place at the top of Barnes Barn property where the views are breathtaking. We loved all the rustic details!
This wine was special made by Joseph Prestia and Kevin Crawford.
The mixing of the wine was something new that I had never seen done before. This is such a fantastic idea! The first kiss as husband and wife!
The reception space had just as many details, if not more! I’m seriously in love with this venue.
I mean really, if you need some rustic wedding inspiration, Laura and Pat have it down to a T!
Hey there cow friends! Thank you for sharing your home with us! You guys throw a great party!
This amazing cake was made by the lovely Zainab. (You should check out her blog! www.aclassictwist.com)
The groom’s cake was made by Pat’s mom, April Crawford.
You don’t usually see the bride and groom do a speech at the wedding but I think this is such a special thing to do for your guests.
I want to give a huge thanks to Mary for second shooting with me on this day! As always, you are a visionary and I love having you by my side!
I also want to thank these vendors for making Laura and Pat’s wedding day so special. Teamwork is everything when it comes to making a wedding day run smoothly for the bride and groom and we loved each and every one of you!
