Throwing it back to Liz + Fran’s gorgeous wedding day at Traditions at the Glen in Johnson City, NY!
There are few days in life that are as magical, emotional, and joyous as a wedding day. Liz and Fran’s wedding day was nothing short of extraordinary. Filled with love, laughter, and moments that will be cherished forever. From the morning jitters to the last dance of the night, every moment was a beautiful reflection of the love they share. I’m so excited to share some of my most favorite images of their wedding day with you.
The morning of their wedding day was filled with a buzz of excitement as both the bride and groom prepared for the first look.
Confetti poppers are now a must have during any getting ready photos.
When couples ask about the benefits of a first look on their wedding day, I am always voting yes. A first look before the wedding is such a special and intimate moment that allows the couple to connect privately before the whirlwind of the ceremony and celebration begins. It gives them a chance to take a deep breath, soak in the significance of the day, and share a quiet, emotional moment without the pressure of an audience. For many couples, the first look is a way to ease any pre-ceremony nerves, as it offers a calm and personal space to express their excitement and emotions before stepping into the spotlight. It’s also a great opportunity for beautiful, candid photos, capturing the raw, unfiltered reactions of seeing each other for the first time. By sharing this moment together, couples can feel more present and relaxed when walking down the aisle, knowing they’ve already had that special, private exchange that will make the ceremony even more meaningful.
Liz and Fran chose to do their first look in front of the historic Roberson Mansion in Binghamton, NY. Like every wedding during 2023, the rain began shortly before we were scheduled to start but I was more than ok with that. Rain on a wedding day is good luck!
I love the Roberson for any photo opportunity. There’s something about its timeless elegance and rich architectural beauty that gives my artistic heart all the flutters.
After the first look we stopped into Abel’s pub which is sentimental to the bride and groom. It was a good pause before we began our photos at Traditions at the Glen.

Thankfully the rain held off so we could get some pictures outside and we were even lucky enough to dodge the weather for the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was a beautiful, heartfelt moment that brought tears and smiles to everyone in attendance, even me. I always get a little teary eyed at weddings. How can you not, honestly? It’s one of the most beautiful things to witness and I never forget how lucky I am that I get to not only get to bear witness but capture it for the bride and groom to look back on for the rest of their lives. As Liz walked down the aisle toward Fran, the look of pure love and anticipation in their eyes made the air feel electric. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they tied the knot and officially began their journey as husband and wife.
The receptions at Traditions at the Glen are always spectacular. They have an incredible sales and catering team that make sure things run smoothly and that guests have an amazing time. Liz and Fran put a ton of thought into the details and not only was it picturesque but so much fun!
As a wedding photographer, I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives. There’s something truly special about capturing the raw emotion, love, and joy that fill the air on a couple’s big day. Every wedding is unique, and the privilege of documenting those unforgettable memories, whether it’s the quiet exchange of vows, the laughter of friends and family, or the first dance, never gets old.
