Margaret + Josh – Greek Peak Wedding

I am so excited to share Margaret + Josh’s gorgeous winter wedding! This was a chilly one but you just can’t beat that winter lighting.

We got to work with our favorite florist again! Woodfern was on scene and brought me the MOST BEAUTIFUL flat lay flowers. I’ve been to some weddings where florists have shown up with wimpy, browning flowers. Never Woodfern. He wouldn’t stand for it. I know this because I can see the love that goes into his craft and I have so much respect for it. His flowers are always immaculate and stunning. It makes the detail shots for your wedding stand out in ways you just can’t replicate without those touches of rose or snapdragon or peonies or, on one occasion, this magnificent orchid. *insert huge romantic sigh here*

Just wait until you see what he did for the ceremony and reception.

Margaret did a first look with both of her parents. I’m so glad I get to hold a camera up in front of my face as part of my job otherwise everyone would know how truly sappy I am. These are the kind of pictures that go straight to the feels. I live for these kinds of portraits.

.

I want to include a shoutout to Jessica Ditch, Tia Franklin and Carol Lynn Johnson who were all on site for hair and makeup. You all made a bunch of beautiful women glowy, perfectly accentuated and glam. I’m so happy I got to work with you guys on this wedding day and can’t wait to bump into you all again!

.

If you’re new here, you should be aware that if there’s a dog in the room I will 100% try to take as many pictures as possible of your fur children. I love all the pets.

Margaret + Josh chose to do a first look as well. First looks on a winter wedding day are kind of necessary because we only have so much light to work with in a day. Lucky for us, even though it was absolutely frigid, the light was PERFECT and I love how crystal it makes the wedding portraits.

This bouquet from Woodfern though. Do you understand why I’m obsessed?

Margaret purchased her wedding dress from Dress Your Fancy in Vestal, NY. SO MANY of my brides get their dresses from here that I recently reached out to DYF and offered to make them a wedding album of all their brides. I’m so excited to get started on that!

Once we reached Greek Peak there was a few minutes to warm up before we headed back into the chill for some more wedding party and bride/groom portraits. The new venue at Greek Peak is incredible. I have no doubt that they’re going to book solid year round with this venue. The bridal suite rooms are also gorgeous and beautifully decorated. I love a good mirror for wedding portraits.

.

The bridal party was so much fun. I’m always so grateful when I get a fun group to work with. They make my job so easy. I’m also madly in love with the color theme in these photos. It contrasts so perfectly with that winter background.

Action shot!

The ceremony took place inside where it was nice and toasty. The chandeliers and the bouquet arrangements made the aesthetic of this wedding so beautiful.

Me too Josh, me too.

.

Even if Margaret didn’t tell me who the florist was, I would be able to tell you just looking at this. I actually photoshopped a groomsman out of this photo in order to keep any distractions from the main theme of this photo. This masterpiece of a center piece deserved it.

The cake and cupcakes were made by Bake It Er Leave It. Liz does such an awesome job with decorating and her desserts are delicious!

The reception was so much fun and I had a blast capturing all of these special moments.
