New York Wedding – Greene, NY

Shelby + Lane

Do you ever get cuteness aggression? Like, you see a really cute baby or a puppy and you find yourself gritting your teeth and growling like a psycho because you JUST WANT TO BITE THEM. Why are humans so weird?

That’s kinda how I felt about Shelby and Lane’s wedding except it was wedding photography aggression. I would snap a few photos and look at the back of my camera screen and I guess you could say I got real cave woman energy. Like – WHY IS THIS SO BEAUTIFUL?!

Just kidding. But in all seriousness, every frame had me internally shouting YASSSSSS!

It was so good.

Our day started off with a full forecast of rain. Not what we wanted considering their engagement session was also a rainy day. I came prepared with umbrellas and dressed cozy fully accepting that I would be standing out in the rain for most of the day.

But then the universe smiled down on us and the rain stopped. We had some cloud cover for the first look and initial bride and groom photos but then the sun came out! I’m really loving that the weather man has been so terrible lately.

We did a first look on the dock of Lake Mae and Shelby and Lane exchanged their wedding vows in private. I stayed a respectable distance away so the vows could be totally their own.

I was obsessed with Shelby’s wedding dress. Shoutout Dress Your Fancy Bridal Boutique!

The ceremony took place at the Greene, NY courthouse. The room was filled with Shelby and Lane’s closest family and friends. It was short and sweet followed by an epic exit.

We, of course, had to follow up with mustang photos. Fun fact! Shelby was named after the Shelby Mustang. How fitting that Lane should be completely enamored with mustangs and his wife was named after one. I’m loving the synchronicities.

The Genegantslet golf course hosted their intimate reception and we had a few more minutes to take some photos outside. We were full tilt sun by this time so I was happy that we got dark and moody in the beginning but ended with bright and sunny.

And then, yeah, more car pictures. OBVIOUSLY. I only hope I did Lane proud by these.

I’m so grateful I got to be a part of Shelby and Lane’s wedding day.

A huge shout out to all of those who helped make their day so special!
