Sara and CJ had the most beautiful wedding and we were so excited to finally venture to Maple Shade Farms! This venue is incredible you guys! I had seen pictures but nothing beats the experience in person. If you’re someone who loves details, this is the place for you. Maple Shade Farms is the perfect venue for a rustic wedding.
The day started just a few minutes away at a cute little town house in Delhi, NY. Sara clearly has excellent taste because she hired Gina Tarbell Artistry for hair and makeup. We’ve worked with Gina before and have seen her expertise first hand.
Sara is my second bride this year to go with sparkly keds and I LOVE IT! It’s especially a genius idea when you’re getting married at a rustic venue. Heels are great until you’re trying to climb a hill in them, ya know?Gina doing her thang. She’s so great to work with!We had time for a few shots of Sara before the ceremony. She looked SO gorgeous!
So, I’m sure we can all agree that Sara’s dress is absolutely stunning. But there’s a price to pay when you have a sweetheart neckline and that is minimal range of motion. I told Sara “Ok, put your hands on your hips for me.” She responded “I can’t…” I was like “What do you mean you can’t?” And she said “This is as far as my arms will go!” We both found this moment pretty hilarious.
The guys waited patiently at Maple Shade Farms for the ceremony to begin. A huge thanks to my assistant, Brittni, for capture these shots of the guys! This is one of the coolest ways to arrive at your ceremony! Sara’s brother drove her up in his motorcycle that he painted special for their wedding. It doesn’t get sweeter than that. Sara’s Dad looked super dapper at the wedding!
Sara and CJ chose to get married next to the pond at Maple Shade Farms. Such a pretty spot for the ceremony!During Sara + CJ’s ceremony, we kept hearing this super loud bird call. It was a majestic touch and I couldn’t tell if it was planned or not. I found out later that Maple Shade Farms has their own peacock! We didn’t get to see him unfortunately but next time!
First kiss as husband and wife! Now my most favorite part of the day! I remember ages ago I asked a forum of photographers how many images I should use in a blog. Many photographers said “Choose your top 15 from the entire day”. Hahahahahahahahahaha 15. HOW ABOUT 7000?!?! I just can’t help myself you guys! I want you to see them all. There are so many good ones! The gorgeous bridesmaids!
The dapper groomsmen!
Did you know that Abby at Maple Shade Farms does bouquets?! Not only does she run her venue flawlessly but her florals are amazing. We were just about to go around the front of the barn for some more pictures by the pond when I saw this sign and couldn’t resist. I’m so glad we stopped here for some more pictures.
Also, this old truck is awesome! And it runs!
There’s always that one guy.
I loved the back of Sara’s dress. So pretty! We always make time to capture all the little details at our weddings. Details are important and we know how much thought and energy go into planning these things. Also, I would like to note that Abby and Jay at Maple Shade Farms do an incredible job with this!
I love that these cookies were home made!If you’re looking for ideas on what to give as wedding favors, this is genius!Cake and pies were done by Melanie E. Partelow. The weather was definitely on our side this wedding day. It was a hot day but while we were inside, a few big storms rolled through to cool everything off. The fog over the trees was so pretty afterwards!Sara and CJ during their first dance. Sara recorded and sang their first song! We love how touched CJ was by this. So much sweetness.I had to post this group shot of everyone! We love being able to capture everyone who came to the wedding. (Note the guy in the far back standing on the rock. When I realized he was there posing, I burst out laughing. Too funny!)Thunderstorms make for some super dramatic skies. I love that dark contrasty look.GUYS! It’s not a party unless my hair almost gets lit on fire! This was the most terrifying thing I’ve done so far. SO MUCH FIRE DRIPPING DOWN ON US! But ya know what? Worth it. These photos of Sara and CJ at the end of the night were completely worth it. We had such a great time at Sara and CJ’s wedding! We can’t wait to return to Maple Shade Farms!
A huge thanks to all of these vendors for helping to make the day so wonderful!
