The day before their wedding, Varsha + John hosted the traditional Indian Mehendi pre-ceremony celebration at the Cornerstone W&W in Apalachin, NY. This was my first time attending a Mehendi celebration and I had SO much fun! They hired Henna by Nayalesh, an incredible henna artist out of Albany, and she did a stunning job on Varsha’s henna as well as all of the guests. So incredible! I love that she included Varsha + John’s names as well as their wedding date. The Cornerstone at W&W is a beautiful wedding venue. With the sun just starting to set we took full advantage and took some sunset shots.
I’m slightly obsessed with Varsha’s outfit but even more so her shoes. I LOVE shoes and these were so pretty. You guys know I love to make my brides spin. At least, you should know this by now.I also like to make my grooms spin so they don’t feel left out. SO pretty John. It was so much fun mingling with all of Varhsa and John’s friends and family. They were such a fun group and I tried to take as many pictures as I could of every one of them. Nayalesh creating perfection!I thought it was so sweet that John was feeding Varsha since she couldn’t touch anything while her henna was still wet. The entire event was fun but one of my most favorite parts was the night shots. Cornerstone at W&W has so many pretty lights strung up that it creates such a romantic ambiance. I loved utilizing their lights while adding some of my own back lighting. The result was magical.
If you’re looking for an amazing venue, I highly recommend Cornerstone at W&W. They do an incredible job and it’s such a pretty spot for a celebration/wedding/event of any kind. Also see below for Nayalesh’s contact info if you need a henna artist for your Mehendi celebration! She is SO talented!
