After 4 years of friendship and 3 years of romance, Elena + David have tied the knot! I was so excited to capture this special day for them and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect.
As always, we started the day out with getting ready pictures.
While I spent the morning with Elena, my assistant for the day was with David who was patiently waiting for the first look. I love these shots that Ashley captured of him.First looks are becoming more and more common. There’s such an air of intimacy with first looks that you don’t quite get otherwise. I’ve had so many of my clients say they were incredibly nervous for their wedding day but the first look helped SO much. All of those nerves just melted away. Plus, they get to see each other for the first time only in their own company. (Well…and mine of course…but after 10 years of doing this I’ve sort of become like a ninja in my trade and remain as unobtrusive as one can possibly be while two people are sharing a special moment.)
The ceremony took place right outside of where Endwell Greens hosts their receptions. There’s a stream nearby and a cute little arbor that served as a charming little spot to exchange vows.
(Just an FYI for my future clients – if you do something like the picture above, I will love you forever. Like looooove you. So much. Forever.)
My most favorite part of the day is when I get to unleash my artistic juju and traipse around with my clients to do their wedding portraits. I normally try to scale down the amount of pictures I put on here so as to not overwhelm buuuut….I just can’t help myself. I love ALL OF THESE and I had to share!
We love this bouquet by Ye Old Country Florist. They did such a beautiful job!
Did you know that I like to make my brides spin? I do. You can’t have a gorgeous, flowy dress without spinning.
Sometimes the guys like to look pretty with bouquets too and we support that! You can tell these two share a special bromance.
David didn’t want to be left out so….
I love it when my grooms have a sense of humor.
The ceremony space at Endwell Greens was beautifully decorated. Elena put a lot of heart and soul into the details and we made sure to snap as many pictures as we could of her hard work. (As well as everyone else who helped out!)
Elena’s matron of honor, Ashley, did the calligraphy for this sign! She owns the Chalk Market and does incredible work. (Link to her facebook page down below!)
Elena and her Mom made all the homemade cookies for the favors.
First dance as husband and wife!
This amazing cake was made by Elena’s cousin, Rita Jewett, who owns Rita’s Homemade Sweets. We don’t always know what’s going on on the dance floor, but we can assure you that we’ll always take pictures of it.
Andrew King of KID Mobile DJ Service kept the dance floor packed all night. We had a great time working with him!
A huge thanks to all the vendors who participated in Elena + David’s big day! Their wedding was perfection and we had a great time working with everyone.
Also, a special thanks to my second shooter for the day, Ashley!
