I’m so excited to get Jessica and Alex on the blog today! They were married at one of my most favorite venues in the Fingerlakes area and I’m swooning over their wedding portraits.
Our day began nearby at a local airbnb where I got to hangout with this lovely bunch.
Jessica’s three daughters helped her get ready. Her youngest was cracking me up.
The first look took place at Wagner Vineyards. To Alex’s surprise the first look did not go as planned. We got this on video as well thanks to one of the awesome groomsmen. (I’m in the process of making an epic reel so head over to Instagram after you read this to see if it’s up yet!)
Of course we had to do a model photoshoot.
We had our fun and then the ACTUAL first look took place. I’m loving these vineyard shots.
Running alongside the vineyard is a road that eventually leads to the lake. That’s kind of a trek but on the other side of the road is this beautiful long grass and the sun was just right. I love that dreamy lighting.

The reception space for Wagner Vineyards is really beautiful. I loved these centerpieces too. Don’t they look edible? I have a massive sweet tooth and these made me crave cake frosting.
There was a recent news story where a wedding guest cut herself a slice of wedding cake. I believe it happened AFTER the bride and groom cut the cake but it catapulted into a major news story where this poor woman was publicly shamed and had to apologize. Every time I see a wedding cake now I’m wondering who these people were who shamed this poor woman. It’s not like she stole their moment. And cake is delicious. Look at this cake. Are you telling me you wouldn’t want a slice of that? Are you telling me you wouldn’t slice yourself some cake if the caterers weren’t moving fast enough for you? No? Just me? (I would never actually cut into a wedding cake on the job you guys. But if it was my friend……….I’m not saying I wouldn’t. lol)

Now THIS ROOM! The wine barrel room. Heart, be still. When one of the staff said we could go down here I was SO excited. I grabbed my off camera flash and off we went. We didn’t even need much time down here. I knew exactly what I wanted and we nailed it immediately. These might be some of my favorite pictures from the entire day.
The sunsets at Wagner vineyard are absolutely epic. The lake in the background is just the icing on the cake. (I’m still thinking about cake.)
I want to thank these vendors for being so wonderful! The day was perfect and we had so much fun!
