Stonewall Estate – A Catskills Wedding

Gabby & Frank

GUYS! I am so excited to get this sneak peek up. I tried so hard to keep my blog at 50 images and I just can’t do it. So my apologies for this onslaught of beautiful images but also, I’m not sorry. Not even a little bit. I had so much fun editing this batch and I’m completely enamored with Gabby and Frank’s Catskills wedding.

Gabby and Frank were married at Stonewall Estate – a stunning wedding venue in the Catskills with delicious views and a rustic but classy vibe.

This venue includes a house which is big enough for the whole bridal party to get ready in. I spent most of my time with the bride but was able to pop up to see the groom a couple of times for his getting ready photos.

I want to give a huge shoutout to the florist, Cullen Creations. They also handled the decor and draping but the FLOWERS. *big romantic sigh*

I asked for some flat lay flowers to make the detail shots pop and Heather from Cullen Creations did not disappoint. Some of these blooms were massive and it was almost sad to pop the stems off but I had so much fun playing with them.

Shoutout to the best bride tribe!

The bridal suite is my favorite room in the house. The lighting and ambiance is perfect for getting ready photos. We also did a bridesmaids “first look”.

It did not disappoint.

Gabby and Frank chose to do a first look and a private vow exchange. We finally had some sunshine so we chose to do it near a stone fence close to the house where we could be in the shade. Anticipation was running high and when the moment finally came to fruition it was super sweet to capture.

Following the vows is my most favorite part of the day – bride and groom photos. Stonewall estate isn’t super expansive but it has multiple gorgeous spots for photos. You truly can’t beat the views or the fields with waving grasses. We did have some wildfire smoke creep in that day which caused the landscape to look a tad foggy but dare I say it worked in our favor? I’ll let you be the judge. This is also where I went overboard with pictures. I couldn’t help myself. Gabby and Frank are so photogenic and there was so much to do and work with! I let out multiple excited happy squeals while editing these.

The weather had actually called for rain on Gabby and Frank’s wedding day. While traipsing around the property Frank said that they had hoped for blue sky and fluffy clouds. I’m really grateful the weather man has been off his game lately because it was the perfect day and exactly what they wanted.

The bridal party was so much fun to work with. Sometimes large bridal parties can be tough. It’s like herding around drunk kittens. But these guys were rockstars and an absolute blast.

OK. More photos of Gabby and Frank.

Again – CULLENS CREATIONS. *applause* Whenever I see flowers this beautiful and we have a big enough bridal party, I go straight for the bouquet portrait. Obsessed.

Gabby’s wedding veil was also epic. Sometimes I can’t choose between photos even though they are super similar. So I chose not to. You get them all today. This veil deserves its time in the spotlight.

The ceremony took place overlooking a perfect Catskills landscape. You could smell the flowers on the circle arbor and the aisle. It was short and sweet but everything ran perfectly. I also want to shoutout the venue owner and coordinator, Melanie. She was onsite every step of the way and made Gabby and Frank’s wedding day flawless. You truly cannot beat a good coordinator. I recommend ALL of my couples have someone to run the day for them because it makes all the difference.

Stonewall Estate’s receptions take place in the barn at the southern part of the property. The barn is newer, super clean, rustic and glamourous. All of the things you would want for a wedding reception if your vibe is more nature-esque in style and vibes.

Melanie made sure that I had time to sneak in before the guests had access to the space in order to shoot all of the details. I’m so grateful for this VIP access because it doesn’t always work out that way on wedding days. The reception boasted beautifully set tables and seating areas, specialized drinks in honor of Gabby and Frank’s fur babies, a favors table and a cake made by Catskills Catering.

Catskills Catering also did the food and I couldn’t be more impressed. While everyone was eating I wandered into the kitchen and the chef prepared a plate for me. It was AMAZING!

I also got to hangout with my old friend DJ Pat who always knows how to start the party and keep it going. We’ve been working together for years now and it’s always a good time.

The night ended with a campfire and s’mores. I couldn’t believe how fast this wedding went but time flies when you’re having fun, right?

I want to give a huge shoutout to all of these vendors who helped make Gabby and Frank’s wedding day so perfect. I highly recommend all of them! I also encourage you to tour Stonewall Estate if you’re looking for a wedding venue. I can’t wait to go back!
