Catherine + Mike – The Fenimore in Cooperstown

Good morning!

I am so excited to share this post with you guys. Catherine + Mike’s wedding at the Fenimore museum in Cooperstown is one for the books. There was so much attention to detail and SO much to photograph. Their reception gallery alone had over 600 photos! That is SO many.

Our day started at an Airbnb not too far from the Fenimore itself. The white birch trees outside made the perfect backdrop for dress photos.

I thought it was so cute that everyone came out to snap their own pictures of Catherine’s dress.

Detail shots are some of my most favorite. There was so much color to utilize and if you know me, you know I love pops of color in my photos.

This is one of my most favorite flat lays yet. A huge shoutout to Sidney Flowers & Gifts for providing me with flatlay flowers. Florists who are willing to work with you are the ones you want to utilize for your wedding. ESPECIALLY when they make such beautiful bouquets.

This airbnb had a really nice, well lit room for getting ready photos. I was swooning over Catherine’s transformation into a beautiful bride.

We did a first look with dad before we took off for the wedding ceremony. This was such a sweet moment.

The ceremony at the Fenimore took place down near Glimmer Glass lake. I loved Mike’s reaction through out the whole ceremony. The sweetest.

My favorite part of the day! The wedding portraits. We had so much fun traipsing around the property and taking these wedding portraits. I highly recommend holding a wedding at the Fenimore museum. There is SO much photo opportunity.

Whenever there’s a flower girl, I try to give her some time in the spotlight. Being part of a wedding party as a little kid is tough and I never want the kids to feel forgotten or like they’re not every bit as important as the rest of the bridal party. This flower girl rocked her part of the photoshoot.

Catherine’s dress was from Sayville Bridal. As soon as I saw how swooshy it was (Yes, swooshy is a word…that I made up) I knew I had to make her spin so I could capture some of that dress drama, drama. I loooooove having my brides spin.

The reception took place in a beautiful tent outside of the actual museum. This tent was rented from Cooperstown Event Company and the setup was so pretty.

Can you believe this cake though? When Lynn from Batter Up Cooperstown Cake Company brought it in I had to stand there with her awhile just to admire it. This cake was an absolute masterpiece. If you’re having a Cooperstown wedding and need a baker, definitely go talk to Lynn!

I loved this little seating area near the bar. Such a cool lounge!

We finished our night by doing some pictures by the lake. The light was a dusky pink and it was the perfect wedding day send off.

We had such a wonderful time at this wedding. I want to give a huge shoutout to these vendors for helping to make Catherine + Mike’s wedding day so special.
