The day started with Laura getting ready with her bridesmaids at Evolution hair design spa and barbershop. (Binghamton, NY)This adorable little fur ball hung out with us and I had a hard time keeping it together. She was just so stinking cute. Any salon that allows their pets to come to work with them is ok with me.
Plus they did an amazing job with Laura’s hair and makeup!
Afterwards we swung over to the Doubletree to finish the getting ready process and to take some pictures with Laura’s family. I absolutely loved her sisters! They were so much fun to be around.
Laura and Matt didn’t actually read these vows aloud for everyone but they did exchange them which I thought was really sweet.
Laura chose to do a first look right in her hotel room at the Double Tree with both her Dad and her husband to be, Matt. First looks with the Dad always get me and this was no exception. These pictures give me all the feels.
How adorable is it that they both have the same expression in this photo? I think this is the sweetest.
While I was busy capturing Laura and her family getting ready in the bridal sweet, my second shooter Brittni was with Matt in another part of the hotel. Groom’s aren’t always comfortable with this part of the day being documented but I think it’s so important to capture every moment. (Even though it takes all of 5 minutes for the guys to get ready!)
As soon as the guys were ready to go (5 minutes later) they made their way to the bridal sweet for the first look with Laura. I love first looks!
The ceremony took place at St. Francis of Assisi in Binghamton, NY. St. Francis of Assisi is an adorable Catholic church and such a pretty place for a wedding.
Black and white’s are my favorite for ceremony pictures. After the ceremony we began my most favorite part of the whole day. PORTRAITS! I love this part of the wedding day because, for me, it’s the most creative part. I get to interact with some awesome people and capture some gorgeous stuff! Here are some of my favorite shots from Laura and Matt’s post ceremony celebration!
These women were so much fun!
What do we do with our hands?I have to hand it to these guys. This day was HOT. That sun was sweltering and these guys managed to look dapper regardless of the temps or the swarm of black flies that followed us wherever we went.
We got it!
Can you tell who the playful one is in the relationship?
This bouquet is by Angelines Flowers and Greenhouse. So gorgeous!
We ended our portrait session of the day inside the Roberson Museum. I love shooting inside of this venue because it is simply magnificent. The architecture makes me swoon and being able to use it as a setting for wedding pictures is dreamy.
On the 3rd floor of the Roberson Museum is the ballroom where they host the wedding reception. (I’ve heard stories that this part of the museum is haunted but unfortunately, we didn’t capture any ghosts! If it is haunted, I think they’re happy ghosts that love weddings!)
The Cider Mill provided desserts. This is such a genius idea. I love the Cider Mill! If you get a chance, visit them in Endicott, NY!
I’m so thrilled that I could capture Laura and Matt’s wedding day. These two were a blast to work with and their day couldn’t have been more perfect. I want to give a special shout out to these vendors for assisting in the creation of such a memorable day.
