Welcome to Kristen + Scott’s beautiful wedding day blog at the historic Kilmer Mansion in Binghamton, NY. The Kilmer mansion is located right off of Riverside Drive and sits among some of the most beautiful homes in the Binghamton area. They just recently moved to host weddings and I’m so excited they did because this place is spectacular.
Kristen and Scott chose to do a micro wedding with just a handful of their immediate family members. This gave me some extra time to do all the detail shots and I wasted none of it. The wonderful Rick at Mulberry & Fern Florist (Ricktheflowerguy on IG) presented me with an array of flatlay flowers and I was in heaven curled up in Kilmer mansion’s tower room giving Kristen’s shoes their own photoshoot. Did I get a little carried away?…..
Absolutely not.
I loved how colorful the details were for this wedding and positively drooled over the bridal suite where Kristen got ready.
The flower girls arrived just as I finished up the wedding detail shots and I made sure they had their own photoshoot too. How cute are they!
How amazing is this vanity?
Once Kristen was finished getting ready, we had to snap some photos in the bridal suite before going down to start their bride and groom portraits. This tower room is the perfect spot for portraits.
Just outback is this pretty gazebo nestled in some trees. You kind of forget that you’re actually steps from the city when you’re here. It’s so peaceful and has a very “english garden” ambiance.
Normally when the weather’s warm I don’t often find myself roaming around inside for pictures but the Kilmer mansion has so many beautiful spots inside to utilize. It’s so crazy that people just used to live here. What a life!
The ceremony was short and sweet. It was followed by a small reception in the dining room and dancing in the grand piano room.
This wedding was a like a fairytale come to life. How lucky am I that I get to photograph fairytales? I love my job so much.
