Welcome to part 2 of Varsha + John’s wedding celebration! Our day started at the Hampton Inn in Vestal, NY. While I was with Varsha and her bridesmaids, Brittni was off at Varsha and John’s private residence. Varsha had the most gorgeous jewelry. I spent a considerable amount of time photographing it. ALL THAT SPARKLE! Varsha purchased her wedding dress at Spybaby bridal. I love the lace detail.Varsha’s hair/makeup were done by Glam by KAB. Let’s be real though. Varsha could roll out of bed and put on a potato sack and still look absolutely stunning. Just an FYI, if you have pets around on your wedding day, they WILL be photographed. The first look took place at Cutler Gardens. We had just enough time for these two to see each other before we had to jet off to the Cornerstone at W&W for the ceremony.Check out these gorgeous flowers! Woodfern Florist is responsible for this beautiful masterpiece as well as all the flower pieces that were a part of Varsha + John’s wedding day. Absolutely incredible artistry. They also smelled sooo yummy. I put my face right in there folks. I also took a quick few macro shots of the blooms. These are some of the things that make my heart get all fluttery. Jesse Parker – A Note of Elegance, brought in the ceremony with her talented string work. This musician is so talented and she really set the mood for a romantic and classy wedding. Look at this bloom though. I know I’m skipping around a little bit here but I’m crazy about these flowers. And you should be too.
John patiently awaiting his bride.Any couple who includes their dog (or any pet for that matter) into their wedding are my kind of people. This is the cutest. Ever. The Cornerstone at W&W in Apalachin, NY is a newer (ish) venue. I’ve been here a few times and am impressed every time. The grounds to this venue are immaculate and it’s apparent that a lot of love and thought were put into designing this layout. The little gazebo by the pond is the perfect place for vows to be vowed and first kisses to be kissed. It’s also incredibly aesthetically pleasing through a camera lens and to the eye.First kiss as husband and wife! You might notice that there’s just a few more pictures of the bridesmaids than the groomsmen…I have no excuses for this other than these ladies are STUNNING and I love the bond they all have with Varsha. They were so much fun to photograph.Cornerstone at W&W offers tons of places for portrait opportunities. We didn’t even get to wander around to ALL the spots I wanted to visit and utilize at this place and still, we did a lot. I love it when you see a couple play together. When I first met these two it was just as obvious that they were friends as well as a couple. Some may argue this isn’t an important foundation for a relationship but I’ve met a lot couples in my 11 years of shooting and I’m going to openly disagree with that. Friendship is SO important in a relationship and these two definitely have that. They were so much fun to photograph.
Ok, SO! Another imbalance here. MAYBE I TOOK A FEW MORE PICTURES OF VARSHA THAN OF JOHN. But John. Look at your bride. LOOK AT HER. John gets me. He knows. Varsha is a stunning bride. Varsha is just stunning, period. I know I talk a lot about physical beauty here. I’m a photographer after all and I’m creating art my friends. But the feminist in me also wants to mention the fact that Varsha is also a doctor so she’s also a badass woman and I want to honor that too. Name drop! Welcome to Cornerstone. The entire time we were shooting, we were also working with the videographers at Scarinzi media. I love these guys. They’re so easy to work with and they do a beautiful job! Though I’ve met Nate quite a few times, I got to work with Lauren on this day and she’s seriously the greatest. I adore her. If you’re wearing gorgeous shoes and fancy socks, I will 100% get down on the ground to photograph them. Which means I basically do this at all of my weddings. Details are important!Black and whites though. So pretty.Very rarely do I throw a veil over people’s heads. I’m constantly trying new things and sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t. I’m not afraid to look dumb while I’m shooting. That’s how you nail killer shots. You don’t get them without taking risks. I’m good with that. Throwing a veil over the heads of these two made me giggle and most of the shots were a reflection of my good humor. But this one I really, really like. Oh Cornerstone, it was bittersweet leaving you but the remainder of our time was to be spent at The McKinley in Endicott NY. This is SUCH a great venue for a reception. The staff are wonderful and one of our favorite DJ’s, Johnny Only, was there and ready to get the party started. Varsha and her bridesmaids had traditional Indian dresses to change into at the reception and they were GORGEOUS. Also, how cute are these two?Johnny Only provided that dancing on the clouds ambiance. It looked awesome with some back flash. This cake though. I see a lot of Baked Euphoria’s cakes but this one takes the cake. (See what I did there?!?! I know. I’m the worst. You love it.)Fun fact. Johnny Only occasionally brings along his daughter Mikayla to help him out on gigs. This chick is a burst of sunshine and we LOVE working with her. She also knows how to rev up the crowd. The night ended with a sparkler send off. The last picture is my favorite of all. Varsha and John’s wedding was so much fun to photograph. I’m so grateful for my assistant Brittni for working alongside me on this day. Also a huge thank you to all the vendors who helped make this day so special!
